About the Legislative Academy...

The PNWER Legislative Academy is a great opportunity for existing legislative leadership to develop important relationships with their counterparts across the border, and help them to better understand the functioning political realities of the state and provincial governments through a series of hands-on workshops. The Academy provides leaders in both the US and Canada a wealth of information to better understand the day-to-day operations and differences between the two political systems, and the practical ways that decisions are actually made in each country.
In addition to the material on understanding Canadian and US political systems, the Academy will include a leadership development curriculum that will foster relationship building, and will assist in career development.
